Why Toprak Razgatlioglu's Unique Riding Style Will Bolster Yamaha's Performance in MotoGP
The Pramac MotoGP team's decision to sign Toprak Razgatlioglu, a triple World Superbike champion, has sparked excitement among fans. Jack Miller, a fellow Pramac rider, believes that Razgatlioglu's distinct riding style will be a game-changer for Yamaha in the 2026 season.
During the Valencia test, Miller praised Razgatlioglu's adaptability, stating that his experience with different manufacturers, albeit in Superbikes, will translate well to MotoGP. Despite the challenge of transitioning from Michelin to Pirelli tires, Miller is confident in Razgatlioglu's ability to quickly master the new riding style.
"He's a world-class motorcycle rider, and I believe he'll adapt relatively quickly," Miller said. "He has a lot of experience with different manufacturers, and while it's a different sport, the fundamentals of riding a bike and controlling the throttle remain the same."
Miller also highlighted the value of Razgatlioglu's data collection for Yamaha. With his unique riding style, Razgatlioglu will provide new insights and perspectives, allowing Yamaha to further refine its performance.
"Having a rider like Toprak, with a completely different riding style, means we'll get different data," Miller explained. "We can see how he interacts with the bike, and that will help us play to Yamaha's strengths."
This strategic move by Pramac and Yamaha showcases their commitment to innovation and continuous improvement. By embracing diverse riding styles and data, they aim to stay at the forefront of MotoGP, pushing the boundaries of what's possible on the track.
